Sueño de fin de año

Alma Laprida

https://tambiendormimos.bandcamp.com/track/sue-o-de-fin-de-a-o

Esa noche casi no dormí.

Vuelo nocturno

José Casanova

http://vuelonocturno.surwww.com/

Overflying the surface of our planet offers us a unique and privileged view of the territory. The darkness of the night provides an essential feature: the topography loses its light and coloring, it becomes homogenous, its references subside.

In the overnight flight the focus is on the presence of man under the lights of the city. From this perspective, we can sense urban life, its density and interconnections as linked with the world of information.

Vuelo nocturno suggests the idea of sailing in a fictional geography made of digital elements — typographies, processed images. It is a space where we are spectators travelling adrift, where we witness how this unstable territory evolves and transforms.

Composición
de tres miradas

Ignacio Vizcarra

https://vimeo.com/user71691816

Dynamic composition of microframes based on experimental eye-tracking measurements with a video recorded in Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires, 2017. Made in the Laboratory of Electronic Art and Artificial Intelligence - Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero in collaboration with Laurence Bender and Germán Ito.

Since we are born, we process visual information that links us and helps us make sense of our surroundings. This is a composition generated from eye-tracking of three people watching the same video. Frames of different colors (red, green and blue) represent the eye fixations of each of them. The video shows a daily situation in a public and dynamic space: Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires, a holiday.

The composition allows us to visualize the focus and behavior of visual attention to different elements and sequences within a scene, at the same time that an aesthetic set of microframes and color mixing is generated: when there is synchrony in the visual attention, the microframes overlap resulting in chromatic variations from the additive mixture of colors.

Desde lo inestable

Guadalupe Álvarez

http://desdeloinestable.surwww.com/

"Desde lo inestable" is a digital-photographic essay developed from moving images. Different fragments of frames extracted from personal archive videos build temporarily expanded still images. Each shaped image fuses with the previous one, generating a complex web of colors and shapes.

The videos with which these images are configured evoke different moments lived with my grandfather. They are moments eroded by the passage of time that are at an intermediate point between the memory of a situation lived and permanent oblivion. They preserve the order with which they were found in an attempt to preserve a modus operandi; leave the imprint of who kept the images, built his world of memories from them, saved moments of his life on a videotape and set up his own image puzzle: my grandfather.

The route constructed by these images explores the idea of loss from the unstable character of memory: losing memories and shared moments; to disregard another or ourselves at another time; preserve distorted images of our own life; modify them in each repetition.

Presente

Alejandro Suárez Pryjmaczuk, Pehuén Rodríguez

http://presente.surwww.com/

Memory Lane

Mauro Santopietro

http://memorylane.surwww.com/

The expression “A trip down memory lane” is a metaphor that becomes literal in this interactive journey that pretends to work as a photo album, evoking countless moments, people and feelings associated to the places it represents. It’s a disjointed collage of facades that are, or were, meaningful in my life.

Retratos imaginarios

Leandro Garber

Retratos imaginarios is a generative piece where particles that follow different non deterministic algorithms draw in a virtual canvas revealing portraits of non-existing people. Each portrait is illustrated in real time and changes between each visit.

Mundos
dentro de mundos,
dentro de mundos,
dentro de mundos...

Germán Gonzalo Magnaghi

http://mundos.surwww.com/

Esa voz no sos vos. Tampoco soy yo.

Me pareció verte pasar.

Volando vengo, volando voy.

Vuelo y voy a verte.

Crossfade images

Flav Laudado

http://crossfadeimages.surwww.com/

With images, it will build memories.
Is the memory inscribed in the image?
Is the memory built from the image?

This project emerges from the pivot between these two questions, and their answers are lost in the construction of these memories without knowing where they came from, but which now exist.

Through an operation on the image in the search for a common territory.
